Elvelangs

Interactive light installation

Elvelangs, or „along-the-river“, is a festival taking place once a year in Oslo with the underlying theme of light. The installation was three meters tall, seven meters wide and the inside was accessible. The huge fabric walls invited thousands of guests to play with each other‘s shadows and even dance.

The simplicity of materials and utilization of the natural space available made this piece unique. There also was a camera mounted to a tree inside the structure pointed down which was effectively transforming the interior of the structure into a photo booth. The photos were published on a public Flickr photo album for guests to download.
