Industrial Design Sprint

The seven weeks short project „door handle“ was about the formal aesthetics of a functional door opener. At the beginning I experimented with different angle and rotation constellations. With a lot of models I created my form and concept. The square bar, the main element of each door handle, should be visible in my model and dictates the form.

The planar top side serves as a bearing surface for the hand. The front follows up the top in a right angle and is relieved to one end to being more suitable for the hand. The back is set up perpendicularly  to the form of the square bar. The bottom side is connected with a bevel at the front and back side.
