The ceramic bowl series “Sabotage” plays with the character image of the perfect material porcelain. Flaws, for example cracks, bumps or discoloration, can be provoked and controlled by mixing the porcelain with with other materials. These flaws are due to the linear separation in direct contrast with the pure, simple surface of the ceramic.
In use, the vessels change and adapt to the user. The user enters into an interactive process with the object and experiences the object from a different point of view. Furthermore, the user can see and feel the manufacturing method of the bowl inside, which increases the interaction.
